Bad breath is a common problem that can affect anyone at any age. Could simply be related to poor oral hygiene or much more. Not brushing your teeth regularly could lead to food remnants getting stuck in the teeth. This could cause decay, hence producing a bad breath. It could also be caused by a gum infection which sometimes leads to bleeding of the gum (gingivitis). In some rare cases it could be due to an infection in the mouth with would require antibiotics.
Symptoms noted include bad smell coming from the mouth, occasional bleeding from the gums, and pain in teeth / tooth decay.

To improve your oral health, make sure you: floss between your teeth daily, brush your teeth and gums regularly, clean your tongue regularly.
Avoiding smoking and alcohol would help as they do tend to affect the breath.
