Addison's disease is a rare disorder of the adrenal glands which commonly affects people between the ages of 30 - 50yrs.
Most people experience, tiredness with weakness in their muscles, change in their mood with increase thirst and reduced appetite. It could also lead to dizziness or loss of consciousness.
A serious medical emergency called an Addison crisis could also present as: vomiting, abdominal pain, cold and pale skin with dizziness and fever. This is a medical emergency and please get in touch with the emergency department closest to you or call an ambulance.
Symptom management is done however the ideal treatment is replacement of the deficient hormones and it would be done in a hospital.
